Floral Watercolour Masterclass

Join Silvia Ospina for a fun and relaxing floral watercolour masterclass in Cass Art Islington.

Aimed at beginners or those with a little bit more of experience, you will spend the afternoon learning the basics of the watercolour technique and how you can create your own floral artworks with it.

The class will start with some fun and easy exercises designed to grow your confidence, skill and understanding of how the technique works such as watercolour washes, painting wet in wet, dry on wet and brush lines to create detail. You will also learn a bit of colour theory and colour mixing, which will allow you to prepare your own palette for your future painting.

After gaining some knowledge and confidence, you will be given a hand-drawn flower where you will be able to apply the techniques that you have previously learned. A lot of help and guidance will be given!

You will leave the workshop with your own beautiful artwork that has been created in a fun and relaxing way.
A fully illustrated handbook with some colour theory and three flowers to trace will be provided to help you further develop your skills at your own pace from home.

This class will be led by the artist Silvia Ospina, who has a visual studio based in East London. She has been delivering workshops and masterclasses for the last 3 years around the world in London, Bogota, and Barcelona.
